"Cafe in a Box" spends most of its time serving great coffee and fine teas to delegates and guests that
know what a good drop is, at conferences and corporate events right across Australia.

Here are some handy tips and on how to make the most of "Cafe in a Box" at your next
corporate function, trade show, boardroom meeting, conference, product launch or even a staff incentive day.

What sort of Coffee Cart / Coffee Machine will I need ?

This will be determined by the amount of beverages you order.

For example, if you order 240 beverages per day across an
8 hour day you will be issued with a compact
WEGA twin group coffee machine.

But if the demand is for 320 beverages or over you will be issued with a full size WEGA twin group coffee machine that will be
more than capable to meet your demands.

No matter what your situation we will have a coffee cart / barista solution for your next corporate event.

What type of power and water requirements are needed ?

Our coffee machines are either a 10 amp (standard power point) or 15 amp (standard power point with a larger earth pin ) on our larger volume coffee machines. For larger conferences we recommend you book one of our 15 amp coffee machines.

The benefit behind a 15 amp coffee machine is that the barista will be able to pour more beverages in a shorter time.

We have found that in most conferences / trade shows there is often a period of high demand when delegates are in the trade show
halls and slower periods when sessions are in.

As for water, all the coffee machines come with a 20 L water tank which can be filled on site. There is no need to plumb these
coffee machines into mains water.

What are the dimensions of the coffee cart ?

As a rule of thumb the coffee carts take up 1.8 metres by 1.5 metres deep. The 1.5 metres measurement gives the barista enough standing space behind the coffee cart.

Custom built trade stands

When you place a coffee machine on a custom built trade stand you might like to consider these following points to ensure a
smooth and successful event.

- Firstly the coffee station will need two holes drilled into the
counter top. The first hole is for power requirements and the
second hole is for the coffee machines water supply.

- Secondly coffee machine works best when the work area is
900 mm high. As it is the right height for making
the perfect cup of coffee

- Thirdly we are more then happy to communicate with your
chosen trade stand builder to assist in the design process.

How many beverages will I need for my delegates ?

Well you much rather have too many cups of beverages than not enough. The guide which seems to work for most functions is:

How many breaks do you plan on having, for example will there be:

- upon arrival, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea -

so if you have 120 people you may need around
340 beverages if you have a full day of events

Do I have to use the venues own coffee service?

Each venue has its own rules and regulations across Australia so it is best to contact the venue for further clarification on this matter.

We also have strong relationships with many of Australia finest venues if you would like us to contact them on your behalf

How can I best display my corporate logo on the coffee machine ?

This is a service which is offered to all our customers it is as easy as emailing us your company logo and we take care of the rest,
it's as simple as that.

We find this a key factor in showing the delegates
who is providing this service to them.

If you wish to create your own unique design for the
branding plate the measurements are as follows:

WEGA Compact - 160 mm x 480 mm
WEGA Full size - 160 mm x 690 mm

I'd love to see our corporate logo on a custom printed cup.

While we don't actually get involved in small quantity custom printed cups but we can definitely recommend the right people for the job.

Below is a price list as per quoted by "SS Pack" in late 2009.

- 8 oz / 240 ml is the standard for a small take a away cup -

Once artwork is approved up to 10 working days is
required to complete your custom printed cups.

One barista working on one compact coffee machine
can make a beverage every minute.
- 30 beverages in 30 minutes -

Two barista's working on two compact coffee machines
can make a beverage every 30 seconds.
- 60 beverages in 30 minutes -

Two barista's working on one full sized coffee machine
can make a beverage every 20 seconds.
- 90 beverages in 30 minutes -

My event is outside with no access to power or water, what can we do ?

In this case you need to organize a suitable marquee,
we can provide a generator for power and
water can be brought to site.

Generator costs are $200.00 per day ex GST
